This was a really sweet one to build. Squirtle and Charmander look adorable. The starters were nice and simple and I really enjoyed the platform. The platform could have been connected better so when applying some of the more trickier pieces, the green peace stayed attached better. I cannot stress how cute the starters are. A bit wobbly, but still adorable. I would recommend this to people like me with autism and other people who want to hyper focus for an hour or two. Solid product. I am excited for new additions to the Pokemon line.

Overall great build and the terrain build feels like the main build and I have never done a build like this. I would like to see more builds like this

For a set that gives you two of the Kanto starters, I'm surprised by how much I enjoyed this set for the baseplate. The figures were great but the baseplate was just amazing to build. I loved building the terrain that the Pokemon battle it out on. This is the first time I've ever seen a set where you build under a baseplate to make it higher and I loved it! The raised platform's build is wonderful and makes it standout among most other baseplates. The mountain was also a surprisingly detailed and fun build. A majority of the pieces in the set are for that piece alone. The vine or whatever it's suppose to be was also fun to build, and you can do a lot of stuff with it thanks to the ability to change the position of it. The set also includes two moves, one fire and one water. Like the electric attack from the Bulbasaur vs Pikachu set, you can interpret them as a variety of different water and fire attacks. Water gun, hydro pump, flamethrower, flame burst, maybe even something like flame wheel or surf can be recreated using the pieces!
As for the Pokemon, they look very good. I wish Squirtle's shell was more rounded like his stomach but I can live with it. My biggest problem with these Pokemon is that they can't stand on their own. It's impossible due to the tails and it's very annoying. You NEED to use the baseplate to make them stand otherwise they will fall on their backs.

I think this is my second favorite Pokemon set after the Gyarados set. The baseplate is so unique and super fun to build. I look forward to what the Pokemon line has in store for the future!
